The world famous Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, lived and died at the infamous Chelsea Hotel in New York. He has inspired some of the greatest musicians of our time such as John Cale, Bob Dylan and John Lennon.
FROST invites you to “Songs From a Hotel Suite”: a night devoted to poetry and music inside the legendary Copenhagen hotel Kong Arthur. The genre breaking Danish trio, Eggs Laid By Tigers, has been working on musical interpretations of Dylan Thomas’ poetry and will play three intimate half hour concerts in one of the beautiful hotel suites at Kong Arthur.
The hotel lobby will be open for everybody, free of charge, including guests without ticket for the concerts. Here, the night’s host, poet Morten Søkilde, will recite poems accompanied by music from Copenhagen jazz trio, Simon Toldam Trio, and the DJcollective, Copenhagen Hot Club, will play old vinyls on their portable gramophones.
Eggs Laid By Tigers plays three concert:
18.30, 19.30 and 20.30.
‘Songs From a Hotel Suite’ are financially supported by JazzDanmark and Arthur Hotels.
